Foursquare Sovereignty
Foursquare Sovereignty is the latest addition to the workshop of Richard Seal and his exclusive rum distillery Foursquare. It is the nineteenth (Mark XIX) rum from the Exceptional Cask Selection. The rum was blended in 2021 and was named Sovereignty, which means "sovereignty", in honor of the important event when Barbados stopped pledging allegiance to Queen Elizabeth II. and officially became a republic.
It is a collector's rum created from a blend of two molasses rums that have been distilled using Pot and Column Stills. The first rum was bottled for 3 years in ex-bourbon casks and finally matured for 11 years in ex-sherry Oloroso casks. The second rum matured for 14 long years in ex-bourbon barrels.
After mixing, it was bottled with 62 % alcohol content without added dyes, sugar and cold filtration. Only 12,000 bottles were produced. For best enjoyment, we recommend serving at room temperature without ice cubes and water.
