Labourdonnais VSOP
Labourdonnais VSOP is a blend of 4-6 year old rums matured in ex-cognac, ex-bourbon and ex-whisky casks.
Delicate aromas of toasted wood with ethereal fruity notes. Soft and warm on the palate with a refined finish of noble spirits.
Tropical finesse gives this rum a unique sophistication.
Sugar cane is harvested to produce fresh sugar cane juice. The fresh cane juice is filtered to remove all the tiny fibers. Yeast is then added to the juice and kept in a tank for 44 hours.
Once the desired yeast concentration is reached, part of the mixture is transferred to the fermentation tank and fresh juice is added. The fermentation process takes 35 hours.
The next step is distillation. The distillation column has a total of 39 tanks.
The required distillate is collected in three different tanks. The lowest tray contains the heavy distillate, while the highest tray contains the lighter distillate.
The final product leaves the column, passes through a condenser and is collected in 25,000 litre stainless steel tanks.
The bottles are filled at 42 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l and are supplied in gift cartons.
