This special edition is a tribute to the art of blending, the result of a careful selection of the finest spirits from Nikka's four distilleries: the famous Miyagikyo, equipped for the most part with column stills, Nishinomiya, closed in 1998, and Moji and Satsuma Tsukasa, originally intended for the production of shochu. This is Nikka Discovery The Grain Whisky.
The nose of this grain whisky blends beeswax, aromatic herbs and fresh fruit, mingling with vanilla and grain nuances to reveal the richness of its flavour profile. On the palate, the creamy sweetness of almond and coconut milk combines with subtle vanilla to provide a dynamic attack, while notes of liquorice, cinnamon and ginger add surprising depth.
A smooth, balanced finish prolongs the flavor experience and reveals the cereal and aromatic herbs that originally emerged on the nose, accompanied by flavors of mint, acacia honey and floral aromas that linger on the tongue.
Nikka The Grain is the result of careful blending, combining old Coffey Grain (corn and malted barley) and Coffey Malt (100 % malted barley). These spirits are enriched with Barley Grain (malted and unmalted barley) and Barley Grain and Corn & Rye (malted barley, corn, rye), distilled in iron stills at the Moji and Satsuma Tsukasa distillery.
Bottled at 48 % ABV and matured in new American oak casks, this grain whiskey offers a smooth texture and complex aromatic palette. Old and new spirits blend harmoniously to create a unique sensory experience.
The bottles have a capacity of 0,7 l and come in stylish gift boxes.
