Nikka Yoichi 10 Year Old
This single malt whisky Nikka Yoichi 10 Year Old is made from a blend of malt whiskies that have been distilled and aged for at least 10 years in oak casks using traditional methods, such as direct toasting over wood charcoal, which was brought back from Scotland by Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka.
After a seven-year hiatus due to insufficient stocks of aged malts, Yoichi 10 Year Old returns and boasts a perfect combination of Scottish tradition and Japanese finesse, offering a new rich and complex tasting experience.
On the nose, Yoichi has a fresh herbal profile characterized by complex aromas of dried fruit, ripe banana, and malted grains, which blend smoothly with subtler notes of black pepper and peat smoke.
On the palate, this whisky is fresh yet smooth, with an intense flavor of pudding, smoky oak, and an elegant hint of peat, which carries into a long, warm finish marked by spicy and woody tones in perfect balance.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 45% in a 0.7 l volume and are delivered in a gift box.
