When the founders of Pampero™ began aging their rums in oak barrels in 1938, Especial became the first Venezuelan rum to be officially labeled Añejo ("old"). Triple distillation helps to create a shiny, rich golden color that evokes the complexity of the Caribbean coast.
It matures for up to 2 years in American white oak barrels, in which it has previously matured bourbon 5 times. Pampero Especial is one of the most popular blended rum in all of Venezuela! It is made from first-class high-quality Venezuelan molasses.
The aroma is dominated by vanilla, herbs, caramel, molasses and spices. The taste is sweet and light, with notes of cream, honey, fruit and cherry. The finish is long, with hints of caramel, nuts, butter and wood.
It is ideal for mixing cocktails such as the Cuba Libre, but its smoothness means it can also be enjoyed neat. The bottles are filled at 40% alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
