Ron Malteco Reserva Rara 25 Year Old

The 25-year-old rum Malteco Reserva Rara comes from Guatemala. It is distilled from molasses and then aged in oak barrels in a very specific location - caves located 2,300 meters above sea level. These caves are a distinctive feature of Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala, the company that produces Malteco. The caves contain special deposits with low oxygen content, which unmistakably influences the distillate.

Malteco Reserva Rara is a very fresh and aromatic rum, brimming with enchanting sweetness. It carries notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. The hints of fruit jam are enticing. Besides the sweetness, the rum reveals hints of oak and buttery cakes. To avoid monotony, traces of coffee and nuts are gradually added. In the finish, the rum is pleasantly long, warming, leaving a sense of perfection.
