Admiral Rodney HMS Formidable
Admiral Rodney HMS Formidable is a molasses rum from the island of St. Lucia. Exclusively it is withdrawn from the lowest part of the distillation plant (Coffey still) as heavier rum with richer flavors. Subsequently, he is professionally aged by mixing 9-12 year old rums and matures ex-bourbon barells. The result is a delicious rum with tones of honey, vanilla and toast, with the aroma of oak wood and sweet pepper.
Rum is named after Admiral Rodney's flagship in a naval battle in the Caribbean (a decisive battle in which French lines were defeated and British rule over the Caribbean was secured. The battle took place at sea between the islands of Guadeloupe and Dominica).
