The rums are 100 % Dominican and this collection is no exception. For Edición 02, another of the island's treasures has been handpicked, so prized that only 20 % of it is exported: Dominican coffee.
For Edición 02, innovation continues through a new aromatic barrel roasting technique - barrel masters roast the barrels with Dominican coffee beans, which are then removed and infuse the wood with their rich aromatic qualities. The barrels are then prepared to be filled with our exceptional liquid.
Colección Visionaria Edición 02 is aged in expertly selected barrels of virgin European oak to develop the characteristic rich and complex flavours of the rum. With every sip, you will taste the culmination of years of experience and the essence of a beloved country.
The nose opens with exceptionally smooth, rich notes of caramel and freshly brewed coffee, perfectly balanced by layers of dark chocolate and sweet vanilla.
The palate begins with a subtle burst of spice - cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg - that adds a refined complexity to the flavour. Subtle notes of raisins weave seamlessly into the deep flavour of the coffee, enriching every sip.
Each bottle is hand-sealed, signed and wrapped in the iconic mesh.
The Brugal distillery , founded in 1888 by Andrés Brugal, is located in Puerto Plata. Brugal Rum is made exclusively from sugar cane planted, grown and harvested in the Dominican Republic.
