Bruichladdich Octomore 13.1 / 137.3ppm
Octomore 13.1 is a great but especially peaty single malt whiskey that comes from the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich. It is made exclusively from premium barley grown on the island of Islay, with a phenolic content of 137.3ppm.
It was distilled in 2016 and matured for 5 years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from American oak, thanks to which it acquired mild vanilla notes full of spices and nuts. Finally, it was poured into beautiful black matte bottles with a high alcohol content of 59.2 %.
It is without cold filtration and does not contain any dyes. Spring water from the island of Islay was used for production. It belongs to the limited series The Impossible Equation. The whiskey is housed in a minimalist gray tin gift tube. We recommend serving at room temperature neat or with an ice cube.
