The Carúpano distillery is located in the fertile and humid valley of Carúpano in the state of Venezuela. The distillery was founded in 1762 by Spanish captain Félix del Fierro. Since then, the distillery has undergone many changes. But despite so many years, the rum production recipe has remained unchanged to this day!
The distillery has been the legal and historical heir since 1896 of the spring waters of the Chuare River, which is still used today to produce high-quality Carúpano rums. This spring was chosen due to its high mineral content and extra purity of the water.
