Carúpano XO

A unique extra-aged anthology rum, Carúpano XO, with long maturation in sealed American white oak barrels, no annual angel's share exchange, sourced from old private family reserves.

An annual limited and numbered edition consisting of 2,000 crystal cut decanters with fine packaging.

Mahogany colouring with orange highlights, dense and bright. Notes of caramel and brioche, walnuts and almonds, subtle perfume of red flowers, cigarette box, tobacco, Tonka bean, fermented cocoa and smoky seductive and delicate notes.

Strong, balanced and unshaken opening on the palate, marinated juicy black fruits, candied raisins, coconut, coffee and tobacco. Lingering flavour in the mouth.

The Carúpano distillery is located in the fertile and humid Carúpano Valley in the state of Venezuela. The distillery was founded in 1762 by the Spanish Captain Félix del Fierro. Since then, the distillery has undergone many changes. But despite all these years, the recipe for rum production has not changed to this day!

Since 1896, the distillery has been the legal and historical heir to the spring waters of the Chuare River, which are still used today to produce high-quality Carúpano rums. This spring was chosen because of its high mineral content and the extra purity of the water.
