Glenmorangie A Tale Of Forest
Fresh and appealingly herbal, Glenmorangie A Tale Of The Forest is the first Glenmorangie whisky made from barley dried with forest plants.
Inspired by the ever-changing natural wonders he encounters when wandering through the woods near his home, Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Head of Whisky Creation, has brought an ancient method of drying barley with botanicals to Glenmorangie. In this case, he chose juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers.
With Glenmorangie A Tale Of The Forest whisky, the distillery once again proves its love of experimentation. The forest-influenced whisky was then matured in ex-bourbon casks and refilled before being bottled at 46 % alcohol .
Evoking the scents, sounds and sights of the forest, this single malt whisky will envelop your senses with aromas of pine, juniper and coriander, laced with whiffs of smoke. Then flavours of dark green eucalyptus, illuminated by rays of bitter orange, give way to a slow, subtly oaky finish.
The fragrant forest depths of this whisky inspired illustrator Pomme Chan to dream up her own fantastical forest. Her artwork celebrating the whisky's flavour is depicted on the whisky's packaging.
