Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997
Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 is a 23 year old single malt Scotch whisky that represents the seventh addition to Glenmorangie' s exclusive Bond House No. 1 collection.
This limited edition offers a unique experience for whisky connoisseurs and lovers, reflecting the distillery's innovative approach to distilling.
In 1997, when this whisky was distilled, Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, was experimenting with different maturation techniques.
After almost a decade of maturation in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks, some of the spirit was transferred to Château Montrose red wine casks from the Saint-Estèphe region of Bordeaux for 13 years . This unusual ageing process, which has not been used before or since at Glenmorangie, has given the whisky a unique character full of fruity and spicy notes.
The bottle of Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 is elegantly designed, reflecting the premium quality of the whisky inside. Its design highlights the uniqueness of this edition and is a fitting addition to any collection.
The bottles are bottled at 43 % ABV with a 0,7 l capacity and come in a luxury gift cassette.
