Mezan XO Jamaica is a mixture of kegs from two Jamaican distilleries: Monymusk and Hampden. Hampden Distillery has Scottish roots and is one of the oldest sugar plantations in the country. It has always been known as a distillery for the production of high caliber rum, which produces alcohol for blending.
It is made from a mixture of first-class rums aged 4 to 23 years, which were poured into other barrels, where they matured together many years before bottling. Rums were distilled from premium molasses using Pot and Column Stills.
Color: amber with golden-yellow reflections
Aroma: bananas, vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, nuts, butter
Taste: nuts, pastries, bananas, citrus, butter, caramel, spices
Finish: long, spicy, candied fruit, cinnamon, biscuits
