Ruinart Brut is a harmonious champagne made from a blend of Pinot Noir (40-45%), Meunier (10-15%) and fresh Chardonnay (40%). Created from 40-50 different cruis from the terroir of Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Aged in cellars for 2 to 3 years. It contains approximately 7 g/l of sugar. Contains sulphites. The alcohol content is 12,5 % vol.
First impressions reveal subtle fruity notes of reinette apples and apricots together with fresh almonds and hazelnuts. Notes of elderflower and coriander seeds add a touch of complexity. The second impression makes room for intensearomas of brioche and biscuits.
In the mouth, sweet notes of golden fruit, plum cake and ripe stone develop. The palate is enveloped in a harmonious and persistent roundness. On the finish, the characteristic freshness of the Chardonnay comes through.
Resident chef Valérie Radou and cellar master Frédéric Panaïotis recommend pairing this Champagne with vegetarian cuisine and cheese.
