The GlenAllachie Spanish Oak Finish 10 Year Old

The GlenAllachie Spanish Oak Finish 10 Year Old Single Malt whisky is from the Virgin Oak Series 3. The whisky gets its unique spicy flavour from maturation in virgin Spanish oak casks. The wood comes from the regions of Galicia and Asturias, specifically the forests of the Cantabrian Mountains. The area has a very cool and humid climate.

The oak wood has been air-dried for approximately 18 months. It was then toasted and charred to a medium level, which opened up the oak and allowed the whisky's cask character to shine through. Secondary maturation in virgin Spanish casks deepened the whisky's beautiful mahogany hue.

After maturation, the whisky is bottled at 48% alcohol. No added colouring or chill filtering. The bottle comes in a gift box.
