Coloma 8 Year Old Colombian Coffee Smoked Rum
Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Coloma 8 Year Old Colombian Coffee Smoked Rum, a gem straight from the mountains of the Andes in Colombia. Imagine: a century-old colonial house, a family coffee plantation and the brilliant idea to combine rum and coffee. Aged for 8 years in American oak barrels, it then reveals its finesse in coffee liqueur barrels, where it captures the subtle aromas of roasting.
On the nose, it's a blend of smoke, roasted coffee and spice. On the palate, a velvety delight of smoky oak and coffee with a lingering smoky mocha finish. An experience to be savoured.
Before bottling, the rum is treated in 2 ways: an initial 2-month maturation in casks that previously contained Hacienda coffee liqueur and a second 4-week ageing in casks that have previously been exposed to the smoke from the coffee roasting process.
The history of Coloma rum is closely linked to that of the Constain family. Although it was born more recently thanks to Albert Constain Cenzano, it all started with his father, Albert Constain Medina, in 1959. In that year, the young entrepreneur became the proud owner of the family's country house built in the late 19th century in the town of Fusagasugá in the heart of Colombia.
The bottles are bottled at 42 % ABV with a volume of 0,7 l and come in stylish gift boxes.
