This spirit is first matured for over eight years in American oak casks, where it takes on classic vanilla and spice notes. It is then transferred to ruby port wine casks, giving it rich fruit flavours and a distinctive depth.

Sourced from Portugal's famous Douro Valley region,ruby port is typically younger than other styles of port and has a lively and fruity profile.

Aging in barrels that previously held this full fortified wine has led to distinctive forest fruit characteristics along with heather honey, which is one of the most delicious types of honey. It has an aftertaste of caramel and coffee.
