Japanese Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is a blended whisky that was launched in 1985. The development of the expression began with the aim of delivering the full flavour and richness of a 'from the cask' whisky that only blenders can smell and taste. The secret to its wonderful taste lies in the unique combination of complex blending and a higher ABV of 51.4 %.

The iconic square bottle reflects its 'small block whisky' concept and embodies the intense and rich flavour of the whisky inside. Long after its launch, this bottle is still timeless and recognised for its ultimate simplicity.

The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks and is made with grain and malt from the Miyagikyo distillery and malt from the Yoichi distillery.

The aroma of the whisky is fruity and spicy, combined with floral notes to fill the room. Woody and peaty nuances complete the aroma. The palate is subdued with sweet, slightly oily notes that are combined with oak and spice. On the finish we can smell honey and vanilla, which adds a sweet spot to the end.

We recommend serving at room temperature or with an ice cube or in long drinks. The bottle capacity is 0,5 l.
