Ron Zacapa Centenario XO 25 is distilled from fermented pure virgin sugar cane syrup. Ron Zacapa Centenario X.O. is made from the most carefully selected rums with an average age of 25 years, which are then mixed for more than a year to achieve a perfect balance in the composition of aroma and taste. Ron Zacapa Centenario matured in robust barrels of American whiskey and sherry wine Pedro Ximénez, after which he ended up in French oak barrels in which cognac had previously matured. Zacap XO is best enjoyed clean or in a mixed drink.
The distillery is proud that their plantations are in the best place in the world for sugar cane production, thanks to a combination of microclimate, soil and temperature. When it comes time to ferment, the distillery uses its own strain of yeast obtained from pineapple. These yeasts produce the specific aroma typical of Zacapa Centenario rums.
