This limited edition from Don Papa is distilled on the island of Negros in the Philippines. Exceptional climate and volcanic soil cause a rich sugar cane. It grows on the highest mountain Kanlaon. After harvesting, the cane is crushed in one of the local mills and the molasses, known as black gold, is distilled in column boilers before being placed in oak barrels. This small batch edition is first aged in ex-bourbon barrels for 4 to 12 years and then transferred for three years to two types of Spanish barrels. Oloroso sherry barrels and Andalusian vino de naranja barrels (orange wine barrels). These barrels are also used to make a local unique specialty, Seville orange liqueur. It is filled into bottles as 40% to achieve optimal taste.
Aroma: tones of sweet orange jam, salted caramel, traces of oak wood.
Taste: explosion of jam and orange peel, dried fruit and a hint of smoky.
Conclusion: long, smooth and soft.
