Original gift packaging of premium Philippine rum Don Papa and shaker with the same design decor. Don Papa is 7-year-old rum produced at the foot of the active volcano Mt. Kanlaon, where the finest sugar cane is ground to produce sweet molasses. After collection, fermentation and distillation, it is mixed with a Master Blender and then filled into bottles with a nice design.
Don Papa Rum has undergone a significant change in the production process, switching from the "Small Batch" label to "Single Island".
Originally, as "Small Batch", Don Papa was known for its artisanal approach, produced in limited quantities with rum sourced from different regions of the Philippines.
Under the new "Single Island" label, Don Papa now focuses on its roots by sourcing all ingredients exclusively from one island - Negros, also known as Sugarlandia. This change highlights the island's unique terroir, particularly its high-quality sugarcane, which plays a key role in shaping the character of the rum. The production process is now more focused on the island's ecosystem, reflecting a stronger connection to the local soil and highlighting Don Papa's commitment to local craft.
This change represents a commitment to refining the rum's original story, while its distinctive flavour profile - known for its sweet, vanilla and fruity notes - remains, but with a deeper sense of place of origin.
Rum has been produced with the help of a secret recipe for generations. Rum matured for on average 7 years in American oak barrels. We recommend serving with an ice cube or in various mixed drinks and cocktails.
