Premium 7-Year-Old Filipino rum Don Papa, produced at the foot of the active volcano Mt. Kanlaon, where the finest sugarcane is milled to create sweet molasses. After harvesting, fermentation, and distillation, it is blended by the Master Blender and subsequently bottled in beautifully designed bottles.
The rum is made using a secret recipe that has been passed down for generations. The rum aged 7 years in American oak barrels. We recommend serving it over ice or in various mixed drinks and cocktails.
The rum Don Papa has undergone a significant change in the production process, transitioning from the label “Small Batch” to “Single Island.”
Originally, as “Small Batch,” Don Papa was known for its artisanal approach, produced in limited quantities with rum sourced from various regions of the Philippines.
Under the new label “Single Island,” Don Papa now focuses on its roots by ensuring all ingredients come exclusively from one island – Negros, also known as Sugarlandia. This change highlights the unique terroir of the island, particularly its high-quality sugarcane, which plays a key role in shaping the character of the rum. The production process is now more focused on the island's ecosystem, reflecting a stronger connection to the local land and emphasizing Don Papa's commitment to local craftsmanship.
This change represents a dedication to enhancing the original story of the rum, while its distinctive flavor profile – known for its sweet, vanilla, and fruity notes – remains intact, but with a deeper sense of place of origin.
